Dear valued MCSA Domestic Violence Shelter supporter,
We need your help! Due to COVID-19, we were not able to host our annual fundraising event, New Beginnings. Also due to COVID-19, we know that domestic violence is on the rise, and women and children in our community deserve a safe place to flee. Please consider making a donation to keep our shelter doors open by sending a check made out to MCSA Domestic Violence Shelter to 312 Iowa Avenue Muscatine, IA 52761, or donating online by clicking here. Thank you for your support!
In 2019, our Domestic Violence Shelter was home to 87 individuals, 49 of those being children. The 24 Hour Crisis Line experienced 581 calls for help. While our fundraiser has been cancelled, local women and children still need our shelter to escape dangerous situations. We are thankful for the support we receive from the community, and hope our community can continue to be there to help protect our neighbors.
We want to take the time to give our sincerest thanks to you for supporting us and our mission. If you have already purchased tickets and would like to request a refund, please reach out to Karen Heap at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking forward to New Beginnings 2021 with hope that next year will be our best event yet!
