Fueling the Future
Welcome to the "Fueling the Future" initiative, a beacon of opportunity designed specifically for adults in low-income families within Muscatine County. We understand the challenges many face, especially those juggling the responsibilities of parenthood while striving for personal and professional growth.
Target Participants: Primarily focusing on adults from low-income families with elementary-aged children benefiting from weekend "backpack" food subsidies.
Duration and Approach: The program spans six weeks, offering an intensive "earn while you learn" upskill training. This unique blend ensures participants not only enhance their skills but also gain valuable practical experience.
At it's core, Fueling the Future is more than just a training program - it's a transformative journey. We aspire to:
1. Break Down Barriers: By addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by low-income families, we pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.
2. Empower Through Education: Our focus extends beyond traditional learning. We aim to equip custodial parents with non-credit post-secondary credentials, ensuring they are well-prepared for the evolving demands of the job market.
3. Bridge to High-Demand Jobs: Through this holistic approach that intertwines stabilization, barrier reduction, education, and workforce initiatives, we guide participants toward high-demand, fulfilling careers.
Join us in our mission to foster growth, eliminate barriers, and empower our community's parents with the tools and knowledge to shape a prosperous future for themselves and their children. Together, let's fuel a brighter tomorrow!
